Henri Williams will be replacing Mandy Trotter as the Div 2 SE Rep. Anne Bryant will be stepping down as North Women's Chair at the end of the season.
Will still be used this season, although they could be changing the method of submitting results from text message, to either email or an app - awaiting confirmation. It should still be as quick to appear on the website.
England Hockey will be moving away from Fixtures Live to another service, but our league remains on Fixtures Live for the 2017/18 season.
The Women's section will move to online registration with photos for North Premier & Div 1 leagues. Div 2 will move to online registration at a later date if proves successful. North Men's already use this. Moving online will mean a slight change in rules for player registration.
There will be no neutral umpire scheme for Div 2 SE - each club must provide their own umpires.
There is a general shortage of umpire across the board, which has effected our league, with umpires being used by the higher leagues, or retiring. Clubs are encouraged to communicate this to all members and support anybody interested in becoming an umpire - there is lots of support and training out there.
Umpire Feedback to be entered online by 8pm on the day of the match. Don't think this is applicable to our league (TBC)
General note - there have been growing reports of spectators abusing umpires - more than the usual banter. It is the home club responsibility to manage spectators.
All notes from the meeting will be posted there, along with any news and updates.
We need to make sure club contacts are up-to-date.
Div 2 SE are being double checked and should be released end of next week.
Each club needs to provide a valid lighting certificate to the league. It must cover the whole of the season (i.e. can't run from Jan to Dec), if it doesn't a new one will have to be obtained. Holladay Electrical will provide one for £150+VAT for all North Hockey clubs.
Accounts should have been sent to us now. Need to review (raise queries with Eunice) and pay.
All fines giving out by the league are invested back into hockey. They have been fairly lenient this year, but still obtained approx. £1k which has been noted to the youth umpire scheme.
Div 2 registration fees are £100 - with £80 discount for attending the meeting. £20 for the year. A notice for entry fees will be sent end of Sept, with a reminder Nov.
